Tintri collects the following information through the Web Site session data and information that you enter on the Web Site or provide to us in any other way. Individuals are free to change the personal information that Tintri has collected from them and to unsubscribe from any and all Tintri communications at any time by stating such preferences in an email to email@example.com. The manner in which we collect this information is described below.
We collect information on the pages you have visited and the contents of those pages, any information you input, your referring URL or IP address, your time of visit and related session information, your device type, your requested page, Web browser type, USR agent, status of request (successful reply), cookies, number of bytes in the response, and query string. We use this data to better understand Web site usage in the aggregate so that we know what areas of our Web site users prefer. This information is stored in log files and is used for aggregated and statistical reporting.

Registration and Questionnaires

Tintri verifies the email address conforms to standard email address requirements. Tintri may also ask you to provide information about:

Tintri also has a voluntary mailing list where users can supply their email address to facilitate periodic communications from Tintri. Individuals that voluntarily register for the mailing list are automatically subscribed to the Tintri voluntary mailing list.
We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons), that help us better manage content and advertising on our site by informing us what is effective. Some of these files may be provided by our advertising management partners or advertisers. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. This information does not include personally identifiable information, and we do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to your personal information without informing you in each particular instance. We may also use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, but you will always have the choice not to receive such emails.
Tintri does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 18 to divulge personal information.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, to notify registered site visitors about news or updates with respect to our company and/or product.
Please let us know if you do not want to receive email from us in the future by sending an email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and telling us that you do not want to receive email from our company.
If you supply us with your postal address online, you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. Please let us know if you do not wish to receive such mailings by sending an email to us at email@example.com. Please provide us with your exact name and address. We will be sure your name is removed from the list.
The information collected by Tintri will be used for:

Registered users and those who sign up to receive communications from us will receive a periodic Tintri company newsletter, and occasional email announcements regarding company activities.
Registered users will receive additional announcements from us about products, services, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications.
We offer links to other Web sites. Please note that when you click on links to other Web sites, you are leaving the Tintri Web Site and may be subject to different rules, including, but not limited to, different privacy policies that may be less protective of your privacy. We encourage you to read the privacy policies that govern the Web sites you may link to from our Web Site.
Access to Information
Tintri maintains the accuracy of our information by requiring password registration to download Tintri product. Users may access their own personal information and contact us about inaccuracies they may find by emailing such request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Users may delete their information from our database by emailing such request to email@example.com.
Tintri may also store and disclose personal information as allowed or required by applicable law, including making disclosures that are necessary or advisable to: (a) protect the rights, safety or property of users of our web site, the public, or Tintri or our suppliers; and (b) conform to legal or regulatory requirements.
In some cases, Tintri may choose to buy or sell corporate assets. In these types of transactions, customer information is typically a business asset that is transferred. Moreover, if Tintri, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Tintri goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, customer information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and hereby consent and agree that any acquirer of Tintri may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Tintri protects user information by using a Privacy Filter, a configurable tool that causes selected information such as passwords, credit card numbers, and last name to be removed from the digital record.
