Kieran Harty Co-founder & CEO

Kieran was previously Executive Vice President of R&D at VMware for seven years, where he was responsible for all products. He led the delivery of the first and subsequent releases of ESX Server, Virtual Center and VMware’s desktop products. Before VMware, he was Vice President of R&D at Visigenic/Borland and Chief Scientist at TIBCO. Kieran has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin.

Mark Gritter Co-founder & Architect

Prior to Tintri, Mark was a Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems, joining Sun through the acquisition of Kealia in 2004. Mark was in the Ph.D. program in Computer Science in Stanford University when he joined Kealia as one of the first employees. At Kealia and Sun, Mark worked on video streaming and storage and system management. He has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Pratik Wadher Vice President of Engineering

Pratik was previously Vice President of Engineering at Data Domain where he delivered multiple generations of Data Domain’s flagship products. His team established Data Domain as the market leader for enterprise storage quality and customer satisfaction. Pratik has more than 15 years of experience delivering enterprise systems and storage at companies including Mendocino and Veritas. He has a BEng in Computer Systems from King’s College, London.

Robert Villarreal Vice President of Sales

Before joining Tintri, Robert was Vice President of Global Accounts for EMC’s Business Recovery Systems division, where he attained $366 million in annual sales revenue, with 87% year-over-year growth. Prior to EMC’s acquisition, Robert created Data Domain’s global sales program, driving more than $100 million in annual sales and over 100% year-over-year growth. Previously, Robert ran NetApp’s Top Enterprise Program Office, working with clients such as Oracle, Yahoo, Intel, Wells Fargo and Disney. Prior to NetApp, he worked for 15 years as an enterprise sales executive for Siemens AG, IBM and ROLM.

Geoff Stedman Vice President of Marketing

Geoff was previously SVP and GM of the Storage Business Unit at Harmonic, where he came via the company’s acquisition of Omneon in 2010. At Omneon, he was SVP of Marketing and Business Development where he established the company as a leader in video server and media storage systems. During Geoff’s tenure, the company grew from $2M to $125M in annual revenue and was subsequently acquired for $274M. Prior to Omneon, Geoff held increasingly senior roles in marketing at SonicWALL, Aladdin Knowledge Systems and Silicon Graphics. He has an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

Marcus Chambers Vice President of EMEA

Marcus was previously Vice President, EMEA at Riverbed, where over the last six years he grew their operations from $1 million to over $150M per year. Before Riverbed, Marcus held senior positions at Cisco where he ran all of Cisco’s Advanced Technologies, as well as at Brocade, EMC, 3COM & Digital Equipment. Marcus was educated both in the UK and Switzerland.

Edward Lee Architect

Most recently, Ed was Principal Systems Architect at Data Domain, and a key contributor to the first and subsequent releases of Data Domain’s file system. He was responsible for innovations like the BOOST deduplication protocol and replication. Prior to Data Domain, Ed was at Zambeel and Compaq Systems Research Center. He has a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley in Computer Science, where he was an original member of the Berkeley RAID team.

Vincent Guan Architect

Most recently, Vince was Principal System Architect at Data Domain, where he was responsible for defining a scalable platform hardware and software architecture — enabling continuous performance and capacity improvements. Prior to Data Domain, Vince was a Technical Fellow at Brocade for six years where he led the development and introduction of the SilkWorm 12000 (Brocade’s first Director-Class FC switch) and subsequent Director switches. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computing Engineering from UC Irvine.

Rex Walters Vice President of Customer Engineering

Rex has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Most recently, he was Director of Systems Engineering at Data Domain. Rex grew the SE organization from four engineers to a worldwide team of hundreds supporting a diverse portfolio. Before Data Domain, Rex held field and technical marketing roles at 3PAR, NetApp, ONStor and Mirapoint. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
