Harvey has extensive experience leading successful IT companies. In 1997, he co-founded Tensilica Inc., a privately-held IP licensing company focused on licensing processing cores, and served as chairman of its board of directors until its 2013 acquisition by Cadence Design Systems, Inc. He served from 1987 to 1998 as executive chairman at Synopsis. Inc., an electronic design automation software company, where he spent seven years as chief executive officer. He co-founded Daisy Systems Corp., a computer-aided engineering company, and served as its president and chief executive officer from 1981 to 1987. Harvey currently serves on the board of directors for Nvidia. He also served from 2004 to 2009 on the board of directors of Wind River Systems, Inc., an embedded software and services provider. Harvey holds a BS degree in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from Georgetown University and an MS degree in Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
