LONDON, UK – February 4, 2014 – Tintri, the leading producer of storage for virtualisation and cloud environments, today announced that Tintri Global Center™ is now available in EMEA. The product, which was launched at VMworld 2013, is now available via Tintri’s network of partners across the region.
Tintri Global Center is a centralised control platform that allows IT administrators to have multiple VMstore systems function as one and efficiently monitor and administer their datastores and virtual machines. The platform will enable users to extend the functionality of Tintri Zero Management Storage.
“This is the logical next step in our mission to simplify the storage management process for software-defined infrastructure,” said Kieran Harty, Tintri CTO & Co-Founder. “Our Zero Management Storage solution for virtualised environments has enabled organisations to overcome the cost and complexity issues that have traditionally hindered virtualisation projects. We’re taking this vision to the next level by allowing IT to scale and control multiple VMstore systems from a single platform in an extremely intuitive manner.”
“Now that it’s generally available, the Tintri Global Center will extend our ability to offer Zero Management Storage solutions to our customers,” said Simon Ragg, S3 CEO, a Tintri partner and one of the UK’s leading Data Storage and Virtualisation Infrastructure specialists. “We are seeing an increasing number of mid-sized businesses struggling to configure and oversee storage in their virtualised environments. Tintri’s new-age approach, built on the concept of VM-Aware Storage, can drastically reduce the amount of time administrators need to devote to this problem. It is a solution that’s ideally tailored to the realities of software-defined infrastructure.”
Tintri Zero Management Storage™ helps IT organisations eliminate storage complexity and minimize costs for virtualised environments. Designed from the ground up for virtualisation and cloud, Tintri addresses the mismatch between storage and virtualisation with the industry’s first VM-Aware Storage architecture. The Tintri VMstore improves performance by as much as 10x, makes virtualisation predictable and enables higher IT productivity—all while slashing costs. Production-proven in hundreds of global enterprises, Tintri helps customers such as AMD, F5 Networks and Kawasaki Motors maximise their virtualisation investments.
