Tintri Channel Executive, John Schwan, Recognized as a 2016 CRN® Channel Chief

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., February 23, 2016 Tintri Inc., a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualization and cloud environments, is honored to announce today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named John Schwan, vice president, channel sales, to its prestigious list of 2016 Channel Chiefs. The executives on this annual list represent top leaders in the IT channel who excel at driving sales in their organizations through channel partners.

Channel Chief honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff on the basis of their professional achievements, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation. Each of the 2016 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs.

Under Schwan’s leadership, Tintri has driven channel sales and enablement programs. By increasing partner training through regular in-person sessions, webinars and certification courses, Tintri has expanded the number of Tintri Certified Sales and Technical Professionals and overall partner engagement. In 2015, Schwan facilitated the launch of the VMstack Partner Program, allowing Tintri to assist partners in promoting their converged stack and to help validate and qualify their solutions.

“I am proud of the results our team is achieving as we work to strengthen relationships with our partner community and expand geographic coverage through new partners,” said Schwan. “Partner satisfaction is a primary goal for Tintri, and so we continue to add more diverse benefits such as targeted training, certification and customized marketing support. It’s great to see our partners having success selling Tintri VM-aware storage.”

"We are honored to present the 2016 lineup of CRN Channel Chiefs, comprised of outstanding executives who move our entire industry forward by cultivating exemplary partner programs and executing cutting-edge business strategy,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “They represent an extraordinary group of individuals who lead by example and serve as both invaluable advocates and innovators of the IT channel. We applaud their incredible strides and look forward to following their accomplishments in the coming year.”

The 2016 CRN Channel Chiefs list is featured in the February 2016 issue of CRN and online at www.crn.com/channelchiefs.
