MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 26, 2015 – Tintri, a leading producer of smart storage for virtualization and cloud environments, announced today that Yael Zheng, Chief Marketing Officer, has been named to Direct Marketing News’ prestigious list of honorees for its 2015 Marketing Hall of Femme.
The 2015 Marketing Hall of Femme represents an elite group of women who lead marketing at some of the most admired and influential companies today. For the past two years, the publication has honored women in the highest marketing positions in organizations of all sizes, across all industries. Past honorees include chief marketing officers from DreamWorks Animation, eBay, Home Depot, IKEA, Macy’s, General Electric, and Zillow. This year, executives from Bitly and Cisco were named as honorees alongside Yael.
In the past year since joining Tintri as CMO, Yael grew a marketing team that supports the company’s triple digit growth. Under her leadership, the company introduced a new brand and was positioned as a Visionary in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for General Purpose Disk Arrays* for the first time. Tintri was the only enterprise storage product named a “2015 Technology of the Year” by InfoWorld, alongside Apple’s iPhone, HTML 5, GitHub, and Docker. Previously, Yael led marketing at VMware where she helped to establish virtualization as a mainstream technology and supported the company's hyper growth from pre-IPO to a public, multi-billion dollar company.
“Tintri is challenging the storage quo,” said Yael. “We have amazing products that attract rabid fans. It’s a marketer’s dream, and our team is doing our part to change the marketing quo. I am thrilled to be recognized by Direct Marketing News as part of the 2015 Marketing Hall of Femme.”
The 2015 Hall of Femme winners will be honored at an awards gala in New York City on April 24.
